I share many. Recommendations: Cronenberg's Naked Lunch, Kevin Smith's Clerks, Forrest Gump, Trainspotting, The Sixth Sense, Besson's Léon, Magnolia, State of Grace, Bad Boy Bubby, Solondz's Happiness, Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead...

the absence of "Forrest Gump" and "The Sixth Sense" is intentional; the former is a typical American movie, while the latter isn’t scary and you can see the twist coming from a mile away. Naked Lunch, Magnolia, Happiness, State of Grace, and Malèna… are on the list for a future viewing. I need to rewatch Léon after I don't know how many years because I don't remember it.

More Americanized than the soldier Ryan of Forrest Gump, in my opinion :)

the twist of the sixth sense... you can see it from a mile away... come on, let’s start with the festival of bullshit. what exactly is it that you can see from a mile away? no, seriously, can you explain that to me? and ps: but how can someone forget something about Leon? it’s like saying I don’t remember Terminator: four things happen and they’re all super memorable. Oh: I don’t remember how Saving Private Ryan starts, and I don’t remember how Casablanca ends either. and I didn’t like that movie The Cabin in the Woods because back in 1998 I had already figured out how it would end.

@nes what do you want me to say, I must have seen it at least 15 years ago, I don't always remember movies perfectly after so much time; @darkeve: yes, Saving Private Ryan is also a typical American film, in fact I much prefer The Thin Red Line, as you can see from the rankings, however, the initial sequence of the landing is chilling.

Yes, I want you to know that I consider you perhaps the most knowledgeable person about cinema among the users of this site. I've discovered a lot of new things by browsing through your comments, so you won’t be able to make me angry :D Regarding The Sixth Sense, let’s say I might have been eased by the fact that back then, over 10 years ago, I already knew (from rumors) that there would be a twist. I imagine that someone watching it without knowing could be very surprised. For other films like Shutter Island, my friends figured out right away that Di Caprio was the crazy one, while I only got there towards the end. It probably also depends on how clear-headed you are, I don't know...

"I already knew from the start (from rumors) that there would be a twist." Okay, so it's not something you can guess from miles away; if someone knows there's going to be a twist, it becomes obvious... thanks a lot, though...

teen, you take part in the alternatives to the undersigned. It's normal for people to see a fool like me as a half genius when you're on the other side...
