Oh god, how many do I have left.

      Which ones do you miss?
    • hjhhjij
      19 feb 13
So many :) 5 random names: Black tape, Don Caballero, Mazzy Star, Pavement, and Eels. Little by little, over time, I’ll listen to them all, especially since they’re people that interest me. However, I already know a good half of them.

Anyway, I still have to listen to a ton of ‘90s bands like Massive Attack, Motorpsycho, Yo La Tengo, Portishead just to name a few.

I know the Massive and the Motor, though :D

spectacular ranking, there's every delight that this decade has given us, if only Alice in Chains, Polvo, Long Fin Killie, and Melvins were also included it would be perfect

I’ve forgotten about the Long Fin Killie. I don’t really like Alice in Chains (it’s a bit the genre that I can’t stand), I’ve listened to a bit of Polvo and didn’t mind them, but I don’t know the Melvins at all.

What? You still don't know the Melvins? It's you and me, Broda :D

There's practically everything you need to know about the '90s.

They've already been recommended to me actually :) They're on the list, like many others, when the time comes I'll focus solely on them. Anyway, thanks ;)

Super useful list, especially since I'm missing some records. I would like to add to the other names mentioned Death In June.

You’re right, I miss them. Thank you so much for reminding me about them. I don’t remember who had recommended them to me.

Money, since there are the drimfiatar and porchiupain, I would suggest considering some monster albums such as Anglagard-Hybris, Anekdoten-From Within, Isildurs Bane-Mind Volume 1, Echolyn-As The World, don’t tell me I’m obsessed, but since no genre is specified, my gums bleed from not seeing at least these mentioned...che palle, eh, ;-)

Anyway, those that are there are wonderful; even a die-hard prog fan like me has more than half of them, listens to them often, and appreciates them—great choice.

I know and appreciate all the albums you've mentioned, but I haven't listened to them in a long time and, to be honest, I don't see them fitting into this ranking very well. Anyway, I promise I'll dig them out sooner or later.

Well, it almost seems like a copy/paste from Scaruffi.com.

In fact, in my opinion, Scaruffi is right about many things.

12-28-34; dry trio!!! A further praise to position 28 because it's one of the most beautiful records not just of the nineties. Great ranking, even though it's a bit short on fierce Metal. Bye.

What do you mean by proud metal?
    • De...Marga...
      18 aug 15
I meant something "nice and badass"; so I'd say Slayer, Testament, Metallica up to the Black Album, and also something more extreme, so a bit of Death Metal and Grindcore. Let me throw a couple of names at you: Napalm Death and Death, which are among my absolute and eternal loves in Music. I don’t want to force you to listen to it, especially since it seems to me from your chart that you have excellent musical preferences.

Just hearing about Death Metal makes me break out in hives; I know it's my limitation... Anyway, I admit my ignorance because of the bands you mentioned, I’ve only listened to a little bit of Metallica, but I really don't see them fitting into such a ranking.
    • De...Marga...
      18 aug 15
Of course, if you're not at all used to certain sounds, it's not advisable to start with the sonic extremism of Napalm Death, who, by the way, are the band I've seen the most live; at least ten times. I've also met the whole band, and I can assure you that they are exceptionally kind and courteous, something you would never expect from such a violent and fierce group.

The proud metal isn’t exactly my thing; let’s say that, generally speaking, it really makes me quite nauseous. Nevertheless, Hex is truly a masterpiece. It’s so low in the ranking because they aren’t organized by preference, except for the top 5-6 which, for me, are the best.

All the discs from the Scaruffini wave of the early 2000s. These are the most famous, but you're still missing quite a few. Anyway... old but gold. ;-D

If one day I were to open a music store, I would create a section called "scaruffi 8.5/9 shit" with everyone, sourced in any possible way, but everyone. And as the cherry on top, a triangle like an illuminati hanging a bit higher with "Trout Mask Replica" at the top and below it "Rock Bottom" with "Faust"... together... side by side. LOL
