  two bands to listen to ABSOLUTELY if you don't know them yet: genesis (start with selling england and foxtrot) and van der graaf generator (pawn hearts, h to he).
  
  then there are many other great ones: jethro tull, soft machine, and robert wyatt to start with.

  I know Genesis, how could I not know them? It's a list made in no time and out of boredom, and it's full of oversights.

  Of course, it wasn't absolutely to criticize if that was the impression, it's just that these are groups I really love, so as soon as I see the opportunity, I try to recruit more people :)
