Sure, but also pop/pop rock. The Tears are new wave if we want, it shouldn’t be seen in a strict sense.

Well, to me Tears for Fears seem much more poppy. Maybe! ;)

If you only keep numbers 3, 5, 7, and 8, it should be fine.

What's your issue with Elton John, excuse me? (the one from the '70s, of course)

NO, I really like the Smiths, of course I skipped them.

"I had never heard such magical notes, and so magnificently recorded. It's a beautiful and timeless album, full of incredible beauty and genius."

(Elton John, speaking about Pet Sounds)

Elton John deserves a 5 just for this statement; the rest, I don't like at all. :D

    Yes, I am one-track-minded.

You see, you have something in common (but let's not jump to conclusions... :D). Seriously, I mean you don't like Madman across the water and Tumbleweed connection?

Ok, I understand what to include in the definitions.

To say whether I like them, dear hjhhjij, I should have listened to them... Overall, Elton John, for the songs he has written and that I've listened to, I don't like.

Ah here, listen to those two Tumbleweed Connection (1970) is a "west" themed concept album, Madman Across the Water (1971) is even better in my opinion, Indian Sunset and the title track are amazing. The self-titled album (1970) is also great, the one with Your Song, which isn't the best on the record ;) These are three great pop-rock albums accompanied by skilled orchestration and some top-notch session musicians (Wakeman on "Madman"). You should definitely check out these three, you might like them ;)

I like a bit of confusion: pop/pop rock/new wave :)) Elton John the "old" one, I hope: the one who looks like a young dad, that is the current one, nooooo!

I'm listening to the Magnetic Fields, not bad at all, damn.

Geo, don’t even get me started. Elton Dad is something that... argh! No, I’m talking about Elton John from Madman Across the Water, a fantastic pop-rock artist.

Well, the Style Council (wonderful "Cafè Blue"). However, I would have included Bowie too, especially for "Hunky Dory."
