  Yes, and at least in the first three albums, it worked wonderfully. They knew how to do one thing (more or less), and they did it really well. Then, having lost that slightly folk, slightly dreamlike sound, they became shadows of themselves, or something like that. However, in my opinion, they don't deserve to be grouped with charlatans like Oasis and Queen, but then again, it's a matter of taste...

  If you say that R.E.M. has been making the same song for 20 years, then I don’t understand why you put U2 at the top, who for the last 30 years have continued to renew their style and their look. You probably hate them on principle without having listened to even half an album...
