Eddie Hinton

Eddie Hinton (1944–1995) was an American soul singer, guitarist, and songwriter closely associated with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. A noted session man, he worked with artists including Aretha Franklin, Solomon Burke, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Johnny Taylor, and Elvis Presley. His debut album, Very Extremely Dangerous (1978, Capricorn), was produced by Barry Beckett at Muscle Shoals. He died of a heart attack in 1995 at age 51.
