Eddie Gomez is a Puerto Rican-American jazz double bassist best known for his long tenure with the Bill Evans Trio (1966–77). A lyrical, technically brilliant player, he has led and co-led numerous recordings and collaborated widely across modern jazz. His work as a leader includes Dedication, Mezgo, and Street Smart.
