LA RECENSIONE

First of all, let's start by saying that in Bedaser, when it comes to music, and I mean the kind with a S capital, you don’t understand a thing about anything.

Oh.

Otherwise, can you explain to me how you always manage to criticize this immense group - also electro-genius - of musical aliens coming from the very deep deep space: not the one you’re thinking of, though.

The almost first nine minutes, though they don’t quite get there, of the first piece with the explanatory translated title of “In the Back of the Angel: concept-song’s on the deep groove that forms between one cheek and the other while sitting on the stool that was Mike Portnoy's but where now sits the sweat of Mike Mangini, which was mentioned earlier.

So before trying to pick dark green phlegm from the bull’s eye twenty meters away, understand that there is a lot, and some even say too much, of that perfectly crafted music that hasn’t been heard this way since the album before this one, even if you say otherwise. But only because you’re jealous that you can’t make metal/electronic music as beautiful as this.

We'll see, eh.

P.R.O.T.

on YuTub there's my - real - video where I spit into Uncle Ermenegildo’s bull’s cornea from thirty meters: if I win the Barletboom editors’ korncorso, I’ll give you the hidden link to watch it.

‘Breaking All Illusion’ ... can be considered not only the best song on the album but rather the best Dream Theater song at least since ‘Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence.’

‘A Dramatic Turn Of Events’ … instills new life in a darker and more reflective sound than usual, although never as leaden as in ‘Train Of Thought.’

Just as we were entering the hall, in front of the official ticket ripper, I realize I don’t have them anymore!

And here ends my DRAMATIC TURN OF EVENTS, for that night.

"‘A Dramatic Turn Of Events’ is the best album written by Dream Theater in many (and many) years."

"For fans, the album will be like a breath of fresh air taken in a mountain village, after breathing the smog of a chaotic and noisy metropolis."

"A Dramatic Turn Of Events is once again technicality in the service of melody, it is assault and surrealism, wonder and dynamism, reflection and abandonment."

"Dream Theater wanted to send a strong and decisive signal ... they are still one of the most fascinating realities in the world, still capable of captivating and involving."

Without exaggerating, the D.T. with this album ... opened my eyes.

It’s as if they discovered a new musical note to insert in the score, thus paving the way for countless evolutions for the future of all musical genres.
