You and Taking the Long Way

Dixie Chicks

American country group formed in Dallas in 1989. The classic lineup features Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Strayer (formerly Emily Robison). They rose to prominence with Wide Open Spaces and Fly, navigated a 2003 political backlash, and earned widespread acclaim (including 2007 Album of the Year) with Taking the Long Way. In 2020 they adopted the name The Chicks.
