After the debut Down With The Sickness, which I only liked 4/12 (Voices-Stupify-Fear-Shout 2000), Disturbed returns with a second work and they do so, in my view, in the best way possible.
Believe is an album that is easy to listen to from the first to the last song; the step forward made by the band is remarkable; if at the beginning the originality of their sound stood out (it's hard to find similarities with other groups), now one can fully appreciate the quality of the songs and it's difficult to find a false note.
The CD opens with the single "Prayer", a song that highlights David Draiman's singing abilities through melodic passages alternated with pleasant yet never heavy harder sections, and after tasting the essence of Disturbed through "Liberate", we move on to "Awaken", which is a track that is definitely enjoyable to listen to, especially if you like the genre in question as much as I do.
The piece that follows, namely "Believe", once again showcases Draiman's melodic qualities, after which we move on to the remarkable "Remember" and then to "Intoxication" and "Rise"; three tracks that are listened to in one breath.
With "Mistress" and "Breathe", we return to the usual, albeit pleasant, genre of the first songs, before transitioning to the song that most recalls the first album, namely "Bound". Finally, we have the splendid "Devour" (one of my favorites) and the melodious "Darkness".
In conclusion, I feel I can say that the CD is truly beautiful. The only negative aspect I can find is that, excluding the last song, the album varies little and, at first listen, it may seem almost all the same, however the quality is excellent.
Finally, a track different from the others that stands out and gets noticed.
They are all nice, but they are too similar to each other, except for 2 or 3... and some are even a bit bland.
