THE REVIEW

Here I am writing my first review. I've decided to do it on "Believe", the second album by the legendary Disturbed. A great album.

Let's analyze the tracks:

1 "Prayer": a very rhythmic and simple piece. The vocals are also very "broken" like the rhythm. A good track. 7

2 "Liberate": the pace picks up compared to the previous one, but the rhythm is very similar. The track exudes liberation. 7.5

3 "Awaken": a slower track, calm at times, but also aggressive. 7.5

4 "Believe": the title track, so you expect a lot. In effect, it's a beautiful song, very beautiful; the rhythm is reminiscent of the first two but in a different style, and the chorus is very engaging. As a title track, it's not bad. 8

5 "Remember": also very beautiful and powerful. Some riffs embellish it, and the track manages to engage you. 7.5

6 "Intoxication": finally, a track different from the others that stands out and gets noticed. Very beautiful. 8.5

7 "Rise": also this track, with the initial riff, manages to get noticed as opposed to the previous ones (excluding "intoxication")

8 "Mistress": another good track with a very calm middle section. 8

9 "Breathe": this is a very different track from the others. Very beautiful. 8

10 "Bound": another good track... 7.5

11 "Devour": also beautiful with good riffs... 7.5

12 "Darkness": here's a track VERY DIFFERENT from the others, an acoustic piece with piano. Beautiful. 8

Now, what I want to say is they are all nice, but they are too similar to each other, except for 2 or 3... and some are even a bit bland...

Anyway, not bad.

Overall Rating: 7.5 / 8

Believe is an album that is easy to listen to from the first to the last song; the step forward made by the band is remarkable.

The only negative aspect I can find is that, excluding the last song, the album varies little and, at first listen, it may seem almost all the same, however the quality is excellent.
