Dick Dale and His Del-Tones were an American surf rock band led by guitarist Dick Dale, a pioneer widely dubbed the “King of the Surf Guitar.” Emerging in the early 1960s, they helped define surf music’s high-energy, reverb-drenched sound. Signature pieces include “Let’s Go Trippin’,” “Misirlou,” and the debut LP Surfer’s Choice (1962).
