2008 seems to be a year of big comebacks and it seems that even the Teutonic thrash trio known as Destruction doesn’t want to miss out on the list of bands coming back in full force. I don't know much about the previous albums so I can't make comparisons but I have to admit that this latest release is really good. Full-fledged thrash metal.

First of all, we notice a very good artwork with several amusing images in the booklet with the lyrics. On the back, we discover that the title is an acronym formed by the song titles. Certainly, this doesn’t make a good album, but it surely helps, but once the formalities are over, we put the CD in the player and see what the trio of Schmier has in store for us this time.

"D.evolution" starts with an acoustic guitar riff, then the chorus "DEVOLUTION" begins followed by a scream from Schmier, and we are drawn into a vortex of violence and power that is interrupted only by a fantastic solo from the special guest, Vinnie Moore of UFO. The song, like the rest of the album (actually I don't know if I should call it a concept), denounces the degradation of modern man, his de-evolution indeed.

"E.levator to hell" is track 2, which continues in the same style as the previous one, with the sharp voice of the bassist and powerful choruses as refrains interspersed with powerful solos, this time by Mike.

"V.icious circle- The seven deadly sins" is one of the best tracks on the album, vicious and angry in the best Teutonic thrash style.

"O.ffenders of the Throne" is another good track with an easily digestible chorus.

"L.ast desperate scream" continues on the same wavelength as the previous ones, with an excellent solo from Jacob Hansen, yet another guest.

"U.rge - The greed of gain" has a very good melodic chorus and a solo by Jeff Waters of Annihilator.

"T.he violation of morality" adds nothing new to the album, it is a filler track. Nothing special.

"I.nner indulgence" is the same as the previous track, continuing the powerful riffs and choruses overshadowed by Schmier's screams.

"O.dyssey of frustration" features the same mixture as the previous tracks, only distinguished by a good chorus and two guests, Jacob Hansen and Flemming C.

"N.o one shall survive" closes the album, definitely good, but which ends up becoming boring and apart from a few good songs doesn't present anything new, even if it surely doesn't detract from it. An album that perhaps we needed, adding to the very good return of Testament. Let's hope it's the same for the Kreator brothers.
