The Outlaws
Great Southern rock band formed in Tampa, Florida in the early '70s. Sharp guitars, excellent sound ranging from blues to country to rock, pure Southern U.S. music... more
James Murphy
Death, Obituary, Testament, Cancer, Disincarnate, Konkhra, are some of the bands where the violent and virtuous sound of his guitar can be found. A reclusive artist, always in the background but essential for Heavy Metal in the last few decades...SPIRITUAL HEALING... more
Napalm Death -From Enslavement To Obliteration
A few months separate the debut "Scum" from Napalm Death's second album; the iconoclastic fury is presented in the same identical way, but with better production. And it is the album that marks the entry of bassist Shane Embury into the group, who will become an indispensable member over time. It starts with the long, three minutes are an eternity for them, and slowed down "Evolved As One"; then follows apocalyptic violence, with songs that are devastating Grindcore boulders...PRIVATE DEATH more
Joe Jackson -Look Sharp!
Night and Day is the most representative, but the first two made me "fly"... more
Willie Nelson
The American "country," a superstar in the genre that improves over the decades, much like fine whiskey in old barrels... more
Mad River
California band from Berkeley, with a brief but captivating career, known for at least one excellent album, the self-titled "Mad River" from 1968. It features a strong acid-folk vein and guitar intertwining in the best Quicksilver tradition. Long tracks, bright psychedelic colors, one of the finest examples of psych music from that era... more

Running Wild
Probably the best Heavy/power band that ever existed. Their guitar work is extraordinary and unique. Their music smells of saltwater, leading the listener on an epic journey at sea. They have an enviable discography (except for "Shadowmaker," the only real dud of the band); but my favorite album will always be "Pile of Skulls." more
Morbid
Dead, alias Per Yngve Ohillin, the greatest extreme black singer. December Moon demolishes entire discographies. Just one thing though: where are the Old Funeral on DeBaser? Only they were on par with Morbid. more
Deep Purple -Slaves And Masters
sorry but here they are truly indefensible, low-grade rehashed AOR that one rarely has the misfortune to subject the ears to torture, perhaps the lowest point reached by the great Purple more
Rare Earth -Rare Earth in Concert
Well guys, a masterpiece from the good old days. more
Deep Purple -The House Of Blue Light
Listening to it again after some time, unfortunately, the feeling of a somewhat subdued album still lingers. However, I can't deny that the Purple at least deserve a passing grade (at least until it becomes impossible to deny the evidence) even here. There are still great moments, albeit sporadically ("STRANGEWAYS" among my favorites, an excellent tour de force). more
Negramaro
As useful as the church and religion, oh wait, at least these would be useful as fertilizers. more
My Morning Jacket -Okonokos
One of the best Live performances of the last twenty years. A MUST-HAVE! more

Genesis -The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
the best, but more of a solo album by Gabriel rather than a Genesis album more
