So much smoke for nothing; in the end, he's idolized more for his look than for his music. If you take away the antics of Ziggy Stardust, Low, and Heroes, there's very little left. Overrated and a rather unpleasant man, arrogant and a queen inside... he's been a pain in the ass for 50 years.
