The moral winner of the 2002 Ballon d'Or... But they preferred to give it to Ronaldo to avoid making him cry again (aside from the decisive goals in the World Cup, he didn’t do much in the last months at Inter and received boos in the early months in Madrid)... more
Probably De Gregori's most beautiful album. Minimal and acoustic; almost a lesson to others on the stylistic features that underpin singer-songwriter music. more
A 3 in overall career. Five stars up to Back in Black (including the Bon Scott era, definitely superior to what they did afterwards). For the rest, a monochord discography. Many bands are discredited for their repetitiveness, but AC/DC is not an exception in this regard: it's something that can be easily forgiven to this band... why? more
Of the impeded. With a Laibach album (Opus Dei) they invented half of their discography. They go on stage dressed like clowns, adding to their show pyrotechnic effects reminiscent of a porchetta festival. To plow. more
Having stopped shooting nonsense with I Lunapop (a band strongly geared towards pleasing the bimbeminkia), he has sought a certain (progressive) artistic maturity as a solo artist. He has rarely succeeded, but one can appreciate the effort. His limited gray matter has not allowed him to achieve more... more
One of their laments is called "Se vuoi uccidimi." Too bad it’s not a message directed at the listener... more
A tacky band like there were hundreds back then, besides they killed two of my favorite blues rock songs.

Since I heard it, I firmly believe in the existence of God. more
In their career, they have never been wrong, and we hope they never will be. Nine years of silence only to return with yet another excellent product of old school classic thrash. To hell with the myriad of bands that, by copying, try to do what the masters have as an innate gift. (7.5) more
Leading artists of the genre for the best album of the second half of their career. That said, I don’t see their absolute masterpiece here, but it’s still a pleasure to listen to again. (8) more
Solid as a rock death/thrash record, the hardest ever produced by the band. Listenable, no flaws, but certainly the lesser episode of their discography. (6.5) more
The Mael Brothers: an Eccentric Duo more
Only for "Jessica" is it worth the purchase... then, luckily for us, the rest isn't bad either... more
His greatest success. Many guests including Stewart Copeland, Kate Bush, Bill Laswell, Laurie Anderson, Youssou N'Dour, Nile Rodgers. more
Max Cavalera showed great courage in leaving his Sepultura after the album "Roots"; and with Soulfly, he starts again from that tribal sound, that blend of Metal and the musical culture of his native country. The first self-titled album was good, but in my opinion, it has been a continuous repetition, and increasingly less convincing...DECLINING... more
Now I'll share my thoughts on the first album by the Dream Syndicate, as just moments ago the notes of that time bomb that is the second track "Definitely Clean" started blasting: three and a half minutes of psychically intense punk, a runaway train of unbridled power, with the guitar duo of Steve and Karl laying down frantic patterns, while the solid rhythm section of the winning pair Kendra and Dennis further ensures an impenetrable wall. There are seven more tracks left...!!! more
The most annoyed face ever. more
Great album, I didn't know them, I like it. Nice guitar work, excellent lyrics, John Coltrane the track that makes the album worth it, but it’s not alone... the bonus live tracks are also very nice, really no complaints at all. more
Lugubrious. more
Well, all in all I like it. Much less pretentious than the previous ones, it definitely leans towards AOR, but it’s a nice album, not yet garish like those that will come. more
