Immortal
The best black metal band currently around. more
Wotan -Carmina Barbarica
With the power of Lord of the Wind, or the untarnished poetry of Under the Sign of Odin's Ravens, or the martial ecstasy of Iron Shadows, the debut of Wotan is set to become a landmark for all epic metal bands. more
Wotan
Among the best realities of Italian epic metal. True heirs to the historic bands. more
After Crying -Overground Music
A record that everyone should listen to. It draws universal value when, through elaborate harmonies, it penetrates the soul of some sentient being. more
John Cale
The Academy in Peril, a gem too often overlooked, grand both in its most experimental guise and in that of classical musician and in the rock one. more
Il Rovescio Della Medaglia -Contaminazione
A niche classic of Italian Progressive, based on ideas and music by Bacalov. About half an hour of grandiloquence and rock pomp that is so close to Yes and EL&P, combined with a distinctly classical style. more
Soundgarden
The cover of smokestack lighting is unique... more
Led Zeppelin
The first 4 should be enough, unfortunately, there has been a decline not only live but also in the studio. more
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
Filthy, cheeky, and outrageous blues. more
Serse Cosmi
Fred Durst in the role of coach. more
Joy Division -Closer
Well, I’m re-evaluating them a lot after the numerous listens these days. They’re not really my style in terms of sound, but this album has its reasons and I’m delving into it. For now, I won’t vote; I want to understand it better... more
Pixies
Incredible blend of genres, one of the most genius bands of all time. Surfer Rosa and Doolittle are epoch-making albums! more

Swans -The Seer
One of the most beautiful records I've listened to in the last 10 years: unforgettable atmospheres and pieces, sonic odysseys, between psychedelia, drone, noise, alternative, raga, experimentation, and unsuspected folk rock glimpses. As far as I'm concerned, their masterpiece. more
Slayer -Seasons In The Abyss
Don't take it the wrong way, "Reign in Blood," but as I see it, this is the true masterpiece from Slayer. A monstrous album, packed full of timeless tracks like "War Ensemble," "Dead Skin Mask," "Skeletons of Society," and the title track. It's worth noting that all this came at the beginning of the '90s, when perhaps the most powerful wave of thrash had already fallen into the clutches of grunge, and the attention surrounding this genre was slowly fading. An immortal work, the pinnacle of Slayer and thrash. (9) more
Slayer -South of heaven
Compact disc, more "thoughtful" and less manic and frenetic than RIB. Fourth consecutive center. Stunning the title track and "Spill the Blood," also worth mentioning "Behind the Crooked Cross." However, it perhaps suffers too much from the comparison with what came immediately before. (7.5) more
Slayer -Reign in blood
Fury, anger, total devastation. Few other albums in music history can boast such compositional urgency and a desire to spit brutality like this work. A relentlessly hard album that has laid the foundations for death metal. For me, more important than its overall beauty, which imo is surpassed by another one of their records. A fundamental work that all metal lovers in general should have. (9) more
Slayer -Hell Awaits
In my opinion, a step back from SNM. To be clear, we are still faced with another amazing record, but I believe that the longer and more "crafted" tracks aren't the best of Araya and company, and "Hell awaits" suffers from it. Another excellent episode, an important piece of their career, destined to explode in the near future. (8) more
Slayer -Show No Mercy
The first cry of a monster that will heavily influence the codification of speed/thrash. A fundamental album (albeit raw), for me even more important than Metallica's "Kill 'em all." "Black Magic" is a adamantine track, to be passed down to future generations. (8.5) more
Isis -Wavering Radiant
The worthy conclusion of a band that has expressed everything and more in 5 albums. The end of an extraordinary era for a niche genre. An album that offers less than "Oceanic" and "Panopticon," but once again shows us a band with hard-to-define standards, capable of conveying emotions all the time, no matter what. (7.5) more
