Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti
Forget about CCCP (even if Fatur was likable) or the PGR. This is the only incarnation of Ferretti's project that actually means something. And it means quite a lot. more
The Feelies
just the "crazy rhythms" alone would be enough for a perfect score, especially when we consider the rest of that masterpiece of an album... more
Skip James -Hard Time: The Best of Skip James
Cost an arm and a leg, but for one of the greatest bluesmen of all time, this and more! more
Fabrizio De André -Fabrizio De André (L'Indiano)
Nothing to do with what is to come, but it’s a good start; Fiume Sand Creek and Hotel Supramonte stand out in particular. more
Fabrizio De André -Rimini
One of Faber's worst albums, with some truly bad tracks. more
Tito & Tarantula -Tarantism
This is a great album. Tito & Tarantula, launched by Rodriguez and Tarantino in 1997, come out with a fairy-tale debut, driven by the beautiful "After Dark" (always with Salma Hayek in mind) and featuring gems such as "Sweet Cycle," "Back to the House," "Flying in My Sleep," the ever-Rodriguezian "Angry Cockroaches," and the concluding track "Killing Just for Fun." Not a weak point, always inspired and engaging. Great album, 4 and even a bit more. more
Mauro Pagani
A wonderful musician who has written essential pages of Italian music. more
David Bowie
Let oneself be influenced, metabolize, assimilate, personalize, innovate. Perhaps these could be the pillars of his immense and extraordinary career.
Total artist. A mind as open as few others in the musical landscape and beyond. more
Guy Ritchie
without Trainspotting and Pulp Fiction, it would have never existed, and in its more personal touches, it’s often annoying, but in the end, he’s a good guy. the two Sherlock Holmes are his best, ahead of Lock and Stock and Snatch. more
Neil Young -On the Beach
One of the best albums in the entire singer-songwriter genre (worldwide, yes). Ambulance Blues is one of the most staggering things, but See The Sky About To Rain and the title track are no less remarkable. more
Fabrizio De André -Anime Salve
Splendid, together with Creuza de Ma, forms an exceptional "ethnic" pair, all the tracks are excellent. more
Black Sabbath -Black Sabbath
A monument, perfect from start to finish. The title track is a great piece, but NIB, The Wizard, and Warning are no less impressive. more
R.E.M. -Reveal
At times too pompous and derivative, not always inspired, in my opinion one of the least beautiful by REM, although there are a couple of good tracks. more
Sonic Youth -Bad Moon Rising
A masterpiece, not the first and certainly not the last. Their most "dead," more desolate album. Society Is A Hole, I Love Her All The Time, I'm Insane, and then Lunch in the grand finale, too beautiful. more
Perigeo
Musicians who are technically monstrous, true standard-bearers of Italian Jazz-Fusion (with stylistic and musical connotations sprawling between Psychedelia, Folk, Rock, and Progressive). The best of the best of Italic Music: "Azimut," "Abbiamo tutti un Blues da piangere," "Genealogia," "La Valle dei Templi," and "Non è poi così Lontano" – 5 masterpieces released in as many years. Olympus. more
Perigeo -La Valle Dei Templi
Seventy-five minutes of apocalyptic and dark Jazz-Rock, featuring an exceptional guest star: Tony Esposito. 9. more
Nina Zilli
2 including the gnoccaggine. The #RLL video really turns me on, and not a little... Rating corrected from 3 to 2. more
Céline Dion
Musically insignificant, however, despite her horse-faced appearance, I would gladly give her a couple of hits. Maybe even four. more
Michael Sembello
'Contusion' by Stevie Wonder (a random one) to understand what kind of musician we're talking about. He has also created good things during the peak trash period, about which the photo next to this says more than many words. more
