Big Big Train -English Electric, Part One
The Prog Band of today's time. Absolutely more
The Rolling Stones
They have made so many albums that every now and then they go on Wikipedia to refresh their memory. more
Rob Halford
In "Victim Of Changes," "Dreamer Deceiver," and "Painkiller," he does things that elevate him to something beyond just the front man of a heavy metal band. more
Tim Buckley -Happy Sad
Sweet, delicate, romantic but, above all, a MASTERPIECE more
Pink Floyd -The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
I prefer the Floyd without Barrett, I'd be lying if I said otherwise. A milestone, absolutely, but here and there there's stuff that doesn't excite me. Who cares, "Astronomy Domine" and "Interstellar Overdrive" are enough to guarantee them my 5 stars anyway. more
Bob Dylan
Simply one of the most important singer-songwriters in history, no need to say more... more
Jimi Hendrix
The unattainable dream of my life has been to wake up in Woodstock on the morning of August 18, 1969, and find Jimi in front of me playing his version of "Star Spangled Banner"... more
Pink Floyd
For me, the Pink Floyd are neither Barrett nor Gilmour, but Waters. more
The Velvet Underground
Giving less than 5 to the Velvet Underground means you don't understand a damn thing about music. more
Beyoncé
Unlike Shakira, she has a nice voice in addition to a beautiful body. more
Madonna
The vote goes to the marketing genius behind it; musically, for me, it died over 10 years ago. more
Miles Davis
...genius, more of style than substance more
Marco Di Meco
...what can I say: it's completely crazy, hallucinogenic more
Nirvana
What would Nirvana have been without Cobain's death? Easy, the Lemonheads of Evan Dando! more
Joe Bonamassa
Someone who plays the guitar like few in the world. A true ace, also talented as a composer. more
Wussy -Forever Sounds
If it had come out in the nineties, an album like this could probably have tried to climb the charts, presenting themselves as the alternative band of the moment. The sound of this band, which is their trademark, is typically nineties, after all. This doesn't exclude the possibility that they could have a following and fans today. Certainly, I am not among them. more
Edvard Grieg
The Piano Concerto in A minor, the Holberg Suite, Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 and No. 2, the Funeral March for Richard Nordraak... the pride of Norway! more
Pendulum
A magnificent group. After a great (but raw, compared to what would come in the future) debut, they matured incredibly, album after album, until reaching their latest work "Immersion", which offers fresh music, a result of experience and the blending of a wide variety of genres. It's sad that they are currently on hiatus; I hold hope for a reunion (hoping they don't ruin things). more
