Today Is the Day
"I wake in cold sweat
And there is no one
Who cares
This life No life
It's killing me
I am slowly dying
I can't be what you want me to be
I am dead"
GIGANTESCHI. more
Genesis -We Can't Dance
Among the first albums I ever listened to. It may not be a masterpiece, but there’s truly an abyss between the previous one and this one. more
Luigi Tenco
Sensitivity, drama, passion, and dismay. Everything in an artist. I give it a 5 because 10 isn’t among the scores. more
Darkthrone
The best at what they do... recently I've even come to prefer them over the good old Satyricon, who back in the days of Nemesis Divina made me ""fall in love"" with the genre. more
Genesis -Invisible Touch
"An Invisible Thatcher" gets a passing grade out of fondness, then the 'mascherù' in the video of "Land of Confusion" scared me when I was little haha. more
Criminal Party
Super captivating more
Daniele Silvestri
Multifaceted artist and exceptional lyricist, alongside Samuele Bersani one of the best of the last 20 years in Italy. more
Subsonica
They've released some nice tracks, but by the seventh song, the idiots are playing pinball with each other to see who falls first. more
Paolo Villaggio
He may be an asshole and all, but his comedy makes you think quite a bit. more
Peter Gabriel -So
Album - a solid reference point. It's like a mother's womb; we all have to go through it. more
Peter Gabriel
Immense artist, a cornerstone of Rock music, who I had the tremendous privilege of meeting and interviewing. more
The Nice -Ars Long Vita Brevis
From this point onward, without the guitar, it really feels like an embryo of ELP, but aside from the good Emerson, the others are pretty decent musicians too! And they really have fun together... it's a shame that the flashes of inspiration are yet to come and that there are many moments of self-indulgence, if not outright arrogance. more
Van der Graaf Generator
Unlike many progressive works, even the most acclaimed ones, this one, despite being so dated, is not the usual music that impacts at a “cerebral” level, but rather brings with it a strong physical sensation, I would say made of emotions, or better “passionate,” which demands attention with each listen, and not the usual distracted “quickie”; still unique and unrepeatable, it eludes any categorization. More than just another of the many records of the moment, organized like a banal sequence of tracks that you could interchangeably reverse, Pawn Hearts, despite the time passed, still seems as current as a perfect unified work, in which our artists have reached the "state of the art," meaning that they could never have done better. In a perfect crescendo, the instruments gradually take the stage, meticulously and sequentially building an exciting lyrical crescendo up to the emphatic conclusion. An album to love without ifs and buts. more
Anathema -A Natural Disaster
Besides the trilogy (as far as I'm concerned) "of life" from the '90s Eternity-Alternative 4-Judgement, sublime and unattainable in their discography, this is the album that I hold closest to my heart. The duo Balance-Closer, the final Electricity-Violence, and especially the title track stand among the absolute compositional peaks of the band. But even the other tracks, everything is worth remembering. more
Zebra Fink
A rock band. It's a compliment, you know!!! more
Paolo Conte
Now I’m living with an Austrian, we bought a brown dining room. But between the two of us, there’s almost no dialogue, I don’t speak German, sorry, you talk... more
Dirty Three -Ocean Songs
A maximum musical masterpiece, capable of transcending and evoking unique, pure, and timeless sensations. A work able to reconcile and convey the true essence of art in general. An album not for everyone, but one that everyone should listen to at least once in their life. more
