Choosing the best among any album by the band in question is almost impossible for me. This is undoubtedly one of their peaks, and I am deeply fond of it. Great energy, great rock. more
I join the choir; it’s missing a little something for a 5, but more due to actual limitations of the musical proposal than to compositional abilities. In other words, I am among the very few who have taken the nu-emocore wave of the new millennium seriously, exploring and exacerbating it from a technical and artistic standpoint, and this must be acknowledged. Anthony Green’s childlike timbre may not excite those unaccustomed to certain vocal styles, but it remains a rare gem of depth within the entire reference scene. "On Letting Go" is a good album, "Blue Sky Noise" is a half masterpiece. more
3 just because I remember them in Prince Of Persia, and in the video for "I Stand Alone" The Rock appears. more
The more authorial, intimate, and also more "particular" Elton John was already behind us (unfortunately, tracks like "Levon" or "Indian Sunset" are no longer found here) starting from "Honky Chateau." There's the classic Elton John with his epic ballads or the cheeky glam-rock'n'roll, but fortunately, there's still the inspired musician and creator of beautiful pop melodies that is Elton John (and Bernie Taupin); in short, the quality remains good. This is a nice album, like all of his from the early to mid-'70s. A gem is the famous "Daniel," the fun "Crocodile Rock," and the very intense "Have Mercy on the Criminal," which somehow recaptures a bit of the "mood" of his very first records. Only "Elderberry Wine" has never appealed to me. The rest of the songs are all good ("Texan Love Song") or at least pleasant. A nice little record. more
He wrote the riff for "Satisfaction" while he was sleeping. That alone is enough to place him among the greatest. more
"From a certain point onward, there is no longer a way to go back. That is the point one must reach." more
Nothing to discuss about the technique, but this guy can keep that smile plastered on his face even after a kick in the balls with a steel pipe. more
I’ve noticed that this album sparks quite a heated controversy. It certainly doesn’t leave anyone indifferent: that’s something. However, I have a feeling that talking bad about it is pretty cool (is “cool” the right word?)... more
CDr "professional" bootleg. more
The king of trash. At 78 years old, he still had an incredible energy; until last week, he would always go to get roasted on the radio by the Zoo, then on February 28... "Leone di Lernia will never die, Hauz!!" more
Tommy 1969 more
This is one of those albums that I would definitely take with me to a deserted island... more
Dismal, yet captivating more
Iron Gland by Alice In Chains = the only seconds of Araya's career that don't make me vomit. more
Two or three superb songs in each album, while the rest feels all too familiar and at times even soporific. more
Tasteless, I much prefer the Demon Cleaner. more
It has an amazing 3D definition comparable to Mc Papa Bergoglió! In the comments from 3 to 3D, there’s a proto-coloradesque version of "Gli uccelli", in line with that 'sipario' buccirossiesque from Les rigoles-lebarzellette a.d. 2004 (the only two Italian silly things that make me laugh, without a doubt). more
A bit mushy, especially before entering the clubs. But quite enjoyable. And some timeless songs! more
Who knows, if they had called themselves supertrump, they might have enjoyed new popularity. more
Among all the italo dance dj producers, he is the only one that can be easily compared to his foreign colleagues. And anyway, Battiato's remix is a lot of fun to me. more
