Tiziano Ferro -Alla Mia Età
Third work by the artist from Latina, the first not produced by the Salerno/Maionchi duo. The previous album ("Nessuno è solo") already sounded like a step back compared to the r&b that characterized the first two albums (Canova's production helped a lot), this one is an unbearable whining in which our guy tells us, through music, all his little and big existential dramas almost as if the audience were his psychiatrist. There’s Fossati ("Indietro"), there’s Battiato ("Il tempo stesso") but there’s (a lot) little substance, only the curious "La traversata dell'estate" and the big single "Il regalo più grande" save the album. Not much, Mr. Ferro. more
Marlene Kuntz -Catartica
One of the most beautiful Italian albums of the 90s. Definitely the best debut. more
The Cult -Love
Masterpiece of the 80s. more
Castrivenian
Born in 2024 in Brazil, Castrivenian immediately stood out for their raw and atmospheric black metal, imbued with vampiric, lycanthropic, and misanthropic themes. Their first full-length album, "Reborn from the Ashes," was released on July 6, 2025 via Onlyhate Propaganda in a super-limited edition (only 10 CD-R copies). more

Fabrizio De André -Anime Salve
To say, is it the most beautiful of De André after "Creuza de ma"? I vote yes. more
Subsonica -Microchip Emozionale
They go to Sanremo with "Tutti i miei sbagli" and suddenly, half of Italy knows them. Their second album soars in the charts thanks also to good quality and a very high rate of potential hits ("Colpo di pistola"; "Liberi tutti"; "Discolabirinto"), even though their manifesto (cultural and existential) is "Il mio DJ." Electronics at an excellent level, with contributions from Morgan, Daniele Silvestri, and DJ Coccoluto. more

Lacuna Coil -Karmacode
I love rock, but metal, well... That said, Lacuna Coil are hard rock, not metal (as some jokers dared to call them, no). This, and the previous "Comalies" (which opened the doors to American success for them, a feat achieved in Italy only by them, PFM, and Maneskin) are two solid albums. "Karmacode" is powerful and well played, with the downside that after a while all the songs start to sound the same (but tracks like "What I see", "Closer" or the big single "Our truth" are, I'd say, essential) with the final gem "Enjoy the silence," a cover that leaves a mark. But, it's better that they sing in English, the only Italian track, "Without fear," is a bit weak. A work designed for the American market, and it sold like crazy. To the detriment of those who wish them harm (and there are many, unfortunately). more
Banco del Mutuo soccorso -DARWIN
Although not a hardcore prog fan (in Italy I only really save PFM, more rock; some of Le Orme, and the first two Banco albums, I like the third less), "Darwin!" is certainly a masterpiece without shadows, with wonders scattered throughout side A ("L'evoluzione" has an endless series of instrumental variations on the theme) and a side B that is almost (I say almost) pop, with shorter and more immediate songs ("Cento occhi cento mani"; "750.000 anni fa... l'amore?"). In their creative den (a stable near Marino), Banco del Mutuo Soccorso wrote with this album a page of prog history (and beyond) that deserves everlasting glory. more
Diabolatry
There is not much information about Diabolatry, except that it is a one-man band founded by a United States musician credited as Profanation of Deity, already active in numerous virtually unknown underground projects.

In 2025, the first release under this moniker was released, credited by The Metal Archives as an EP but in reality its length is that of a full-length album (a full 44 minutes). more
Litfiba -17 Re
The masterpiece of Litfiba? Maybe. Certainly one of the most beautiful, before the very pop and less rock turn post-1993. A lot of great stuff ("Re del silenzio"; "Pierrot e la luna"), some things leave you speechless ("Apapaia"; "Gira nel mio cerchio"), but it’s a bit too long and a couple of tracks seem too minor compared to the rest ("Come un Dio"; "Ballata"). It’s worth a lot, maybe not a great deal. more

Lazer Throne is a one-man American black metal band formed by Jonathan Buchanan, with an EP released in 2023 and a full-length in 2025: "Tomb of the Lunar Oracle". more
Stevie Wonder -Songs In The Key Of Life
It can be said that he gave everything in this sensational double album, considering the scarcity of "genius" that will affect him from this point onward ("I just called to say I love you" included). The tastes are like those of an ice cream parlor, every palate is satisfied: from the sharp "Village Ghetto Land" to the party of "Sir Duke," from the love for his daughter in "Isn't she lovely" to the 8 minutes of "Black man," and let's not forget (actually, let's talk about it) the softness of the 7 minutes of "As" and the contagious joy of "Another Star" (my favorite track). I’ve only mentioned a few, but there are also "I Wish"; "Pastime Paradise"; "Joy Inside My Tears"; "Saturn." Wonder. accontentato: more
