Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away to a corner of the sky, covered by a soft white cloud that you will call harmony of the senses. When a piano and a voice give you a true emotion that comes from the heart. more

On this page, there are definitions that really shouldn't be read. Okay, I get it—you don't like her as an artist, and I understand that she's not a genre for everyone, but saying positive things about the fact that she died young really pisses me off: I want to see what your reaction would be if the same thing happened to Jimmy Page in a few years. Before writing such things, take a good look at your conscience.
[The rating should be a 3.5/4, but the 5 is to boost a really low average: she had a pretty nice voice and moreover, in her genre, she was really skilled]. more
If you’ve never heard it, run to listen to "Young and a Menace" by these guys. I highly recommend it; it’s one of the most devastating auditory experiences I’ve had in my life, comparable to twenty hands scratching a chalkboard together with their nails, like being awakened by a hundred working drills shoved into your ears. more

"Fading Lights," the last masterpiece of the band.
It shines isolated and unexpected, almost incongruous, after heaps of catchy tunes and trinkets. In it, the right Collins excels, that is, the drummer, while he lets loose for a good five minutes for the last time in his life.
He pounds hard, determined and full of drive, burying the electronic drum machine that had been wreaking havoc with rolls and splashes, while accentuating with jazz flavor behind the ingenious musings of his partner Banks on the massive synthesizer.
A slightly annoying touch, on the "bridge" of the track (which recycles three times), is the blatant nod to the ancient "Ripples" from "A Trick of the Tail."
What a pity, they could have produced hours of this "commercial progressive" like "Fading Lights." Instead, nothing... the rest is all crap for kids and distracted listeners with sweet teeth. more
Pacifico Gino De Crescenzo has a remarkable ability to describe images with words; with just three or four words, he paints a situation and you see it as if you were there. A rare and precious gift, I searched for this album patiently back then (there was no Amazon, or maybe I just didn't know about it), and I found it almost by chance at the record store on the upper floor of the Auchan in Olbia. One of my most cherished albums among the roughly 2,000 titles I own, all purchased. This album contains important words, to be cherished and listened to ad libitum. more

Album "A Bit Like This..." which is still a step forward compared to the previous one, which is an album "To set on fire while dancing in a circle and singing The Musical Box a cappella." Let's say this little disc is "A type." There are incredibly 2-3 nice tracks, the longer ones, including "Fading Lights," which I still find a bit of a sellout, but it's nice to hear the old trio from the instrumental part of "Cinema Show" let loose for 5 minutes after so many years. Then there are songs that are so bad I feel ashamed for them ("Since I Lost You" or "Never a Time"), and finally, there are songs that don’t exist. Like "Way of the World." I wouldn’t even say it’s bad; it's just that I listen to it and it’s as if I haven’t heard anything at all. It ends, the next track starts, and you go "Oh, what the hell just happened?" Five minutes of absolute emptiness. more

A work that wasn’t there but now, neither by luck nor by chance, simply is.
To be listened to carefully and to let oneself be cradled, trapped in a mountain of thoughts that we already had inside, but which are wonderfully extracted by a monumental Claudio Rocchi - in his last work that he won’t hear finished because he left just before its release, on June 18, 2013 - and by a stratospheric Gianni Maroccolo, in a state of grace, who later took the album on tour in the following years. Inside, a wealth of deeply inspired artists who contributed to creating something that is hard to believe is real, it’s so beautiful. more
