I would like to listen to it even when I am no longer here... I would like to die listening to his voice... more
The more the years go by, the more we realize (unlike the oblivion that falls on the most celebrated "rock kings") how Mercury was and will always be unmatched. more
The King is alive!!....long live the King!! more
First period with Tolkki on vocals is interesting and, if we want, also underrated, but the trilogy Episode / Visions / Destiny, and even Infinite, is more than enough to enshrine them among the most significant bands of the genre. Then Tolkki went mad, but the last works without him are definitely worth mentioning. more
Although it was released posthumously after the band's breakup, this stunning album is perhaps the quintessential live testimony captured on record by the Birthday Party, resulting from recordings taken from a single concert, held in their Australia, at the Astor Theatre, on January 15, 1982. Half of the tracks are a preview of the masterpiece ("Junkyard") that would be released just a few months later (in fact, counting "Blast Off" and "Release the Bats," which were initially released only as singles and later included as bonus tracks on "Junkyard," even more than half of the tracks) while the rest comes from "Prayers on Fire." It's a pity there's a total absence of songs from the first album, which is almost equally beautiful. And well, it's a live recording from these crazy guys, what else to expect; a terrifying rendition of tracks like "She's Hit," "The Dim Locator," "Junkyard," "King Ink," "A Dead Song," etc... more
An artist, truth be told, hard to define, that sits between romantic Italian pop and more refined singer-songwriter music. Some works still appreciated by me ("Concerto per Margherita" and "Anima"), while from "Cervo a primavera" onward, he has remained the same, and despite that, he has always horrified me, consistently and continuously, except for the Sanremo interlude of '91 (the only Sanremo with a podium that could be called "acceptable," even though I would have placed it in third place). more
great, actually really great! more
I believe that the work of 2018 deserves an international ovation. It is truly original and genius. more
All in all, pleasant in its cleverness of rehashing '80s loops filled with synth and producing evergreen hits. more
Here we have a guitarist with a technique that many would describe as unclassifiable, just as it is unclassifiable for me to see a gem like the Telecaster being handled by a Neapolitan minstrel who is a novice in rock. He doesn’t even have a touch among my favorites (I personally find Ronnie Wood much more vibrant and original, despite a similar technical level), but he remains an undeniably excellent composer up until 1985 and a super talented instrumentalist who, in some ways, has excelled elsewhere more than with the Stones. more
A great artist, not like that crap of Ufomammut. more
honest melodic singer-songwriter of the national pop scene, who, if we want, hasn't even received what he deserved. more

MUSIC in all 6 uppercase letters, not like that shit from Guns and Roses, from Metallica, from Pantera, from The Beatles, from Caccamammut, from ambient, from grindcore, from brutal death, from drone, from noise and other crappy hipsterisms. more
