808 State
But these characters are immense! In addition to the first two albums, there's also Prebuild, Newbuild, Don Solaris, Gorgeous, etc.. up to the latest Transmission suite (not to mention the legendary Voiceprint with Jon Hassel) – these are all iconic albums from a group that should be on the main stages of every festival and international event, even before the usual Daft Punk, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Orbital, Underworld, who are all people I would dare say have only been able to learn something from these masters of the genre, with their mix of funk, electronics, bleep, and ambient! They will never be considered enough, nor perhaps ever fully understood, also because they are a bit elusive, having not fit into any trend and always remaining a cult band! more
Donna Summer -Once Upon a Time...
The best LP by Summer alongside Bad Girl, which was a bit more pop than this, which is basically a suite in orchestral and/or electronic disco music. more
