A historic rock band with a career spanning thirty years, capable of reinventing themselves in genre and style more than any other. The members, while not particularly gifted technically (with the exception of Bono's natural talent), have succeeded in creating a unique, original, and instantly recognizable style, as well as excelling in live performances due to their passion and emotional engagement with the audience. Perhaps they are experiencing the inevitable artistic decline.
