I must admit, upon re-listening, that Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants is an album of a certain class, actually more than that. Go Let It Out and Who Feels Love are great tracks. Underrated. more
WHAT?... he made films with Polanski?! And yet with Citti??!... DAMN him!!! An unimaginable honor, especially for a personal AMARCORD... Of course, this Naso de ROMA really has a beautiful SATYRICON profile! more

In the meantime, he has made films with Fellini, Polanski, and Citti... and anyway, the chiappa e spada were more sincere and less ambitious than a bunch of films that are around now. Damn it. more

The concepts of "fundamental," "universal," and "immortal" can be traced, in music, to the name of this band. Something that will never happen again. more
And to think that for a while I even listened to them (ah, the teenage years...). Now I would gladly set them on fire for the HORRIBLE music they make. more
I've never liked them this much, but I don't doubt their importance. Often, people tend to overrate them in certain aspects and underestimate them in others. Scaruffi's crusades are useless; on the other hand, there are biased critics who serve us phrases like "they are the best ever and invented everything (rock, pop, psychedelia, prog, etc.)," thus belittling the merits of other great contemporary bands. Nonetheless, they are one of the most important and influential groups of all time, and this, whether you like them or not, must be acknowledged. more
Absolutely fundamental group for all music from the '60s onward (including today). The debate between Rolling Stones and Beatles is pointless. It's like asking whether Venus or Jupiter is better. Who cares! more
