Beyond the image that has been created, perhaps a bit caricature-like and not particularly pleasant, there is a great author and a very personal interpreter, somewhere between the popular and the almost refined (in the style of Fred Bongusto). Three good albums ("Tac," "Tutto il resto è noia," "Ti perdo") from '77 to '79; the rest is fairly negligible, but there are several beautiful songs scattered between one album and another.
