enigmatic and elusive, at his beginnings perhaps overly austere and jagged, it's not easy to give Him a precise definition, yet his legacy is so vast and universal that it can be understood and appreciated by all. "Recent Songs" is, in my opinion, the centerpiece of his entire discography, an album to be listened to preferably in the evening with closed eyes, after a long and demanding day, savoring it song by song, word by word, note by note.
