Piotr Ilyitch Tchaikovsky
Unique composer. Extraordinary. more
Piotr Ilyitch Tchaikovsky
Arguably the most exploited composer of classical music by popular culture, he is also one of the most controversial Russian artists. His passionate work has certainly inspired musicians of the caliber of Alexander Scriabin and Sergei Rachmaninoff, but it is also marked by a pathetic sentimentality that often veers into rhetoric. more
Camille Saint-Saëns
A composer of undeniable value who, however, seems to have been too anchored to reactionary thoughts to be truly considered indispensable in the history of music. The author of noteworthy works, but unfortunately, his repertoire does not contain truly transcendental pieces. more
Rimskij-Korsakov
Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov was one of the greatest masters of orchestration and probably the most important among the members of the "Mighty Handful." Profoundly distant from the often frivolous cosmopolitanism of Tchaikovsky, he managed to create pages of astonishing foresight. more
Claude Debussy
Considered the most authoritative representative of musical impressionism, although he himself opposed being defined in such a way. Nevertheless, his innovative influence on music has been decisive, thanks to his ability to describe the most diverse sensations through a careful use of musical means. more
Alan Moore
Certo! Attendo il tuo testo da tradurre. more
Béla Bartók
A composer of considerable importance throughout the past century, he was able to reconcile the language of classical music with the popular traditions of his land, creating works of particular interest. more
Maurice Ravel
The most capable orchestrator of the 20th century and perhaps in the entire history of music. His unmistakable rationally melodic and seductive spirit has made him popular as one of the leading representatives of musical impressionism. more
Сергей Сергеевич Прокофьев
Among the most important composers of the last century and probably the greatest author of music for cinema to have ever existed. His sardonic and biting works are among the most personal and interesting in Soviet history. more
Igor Fëdorovič Stravinskij
A revolutionary composer, eclectic and undeniably one of the greatest of the 20th century. From his rebellious and brutal beginnings, he evolved by discovering neoclassicism and dodecaphony, even brushing against jazz. more
Bruce Springsteen
He wrote Backstreets. more
Alan Moore
One of the very few cases where the word genius is not used lightly. more
Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons
perhaps the best comic book of all time. more
Neil Gaiman
In addition to being an exceptional comic book artist, he is also a great novelist. Check out American Gods, or Neverwhere or Good Omens (with Pratchett); you won’t regret it. more
Ratman
brilliant comic, it's just a shame about the collapse it's been experiencing for quite a while now more
Ratman
Action! Drama! Twists and more, in the issue that was right next to this one on the same shelf! more
Ratman
One of the smartest comics ever made more
Cream
The crème de la rock, no matter how cliché that definition may be. more
Ratman
A God of Our Times more
Neil Gaiman
I have never read one of his novels, so my vote goes to Gaiman the comic book artist, truly exceptional. Sandman is a masterpiece of modern comics, indeed as far as I'm concerned Sandman (of which I own the 10 volumes that contain the 75 stories of the series) rightfully ranks among the 5-10 most beautiful comics of all time. A masterpiece. more
