For my tastes, a bit too bland, but it definitely has the voice. more
Great album, perhaps underrated due to the immense commercial success of the '77-'80 trilogy. However, one must not forget that it contains a gem: "Telefonami tra vent'anni." But the other three tracks on the album are also quite good, including the cover of "You've Got a Friend" by Carole King. more
Yes, yes, I would even give half a star less...heavy drop in inspiration. Considering that between '77 and '80 he produced 3 masterpieces and between 1980 and '83 (apart from "telefonami tra 20 anni") there's half a "ciofeca" (excluding the title track). Not only is the inspiration absent, but also the sound... more
My rating is an average between the 4 it deserves up until 2001 and the single star it has deserved for about fifteen years. "Blue's," "Oro.." and "Spirito DiVino" are three wonderful albums. Nowadays, it’s unbearable. more
In my opinion, it really peaks with "Sotto la pioggia" ('82). Then, starting from "Cuore" ('84), there’s a clear change in sound; we find a more commercial Antonello, less focused on social protest but still possessing great creativity. A similar discussion can be made for "Venditti e segreti" ('86) and "In questo mondo di ladri" ('88): two albums that are quite similar to each other, a bit less inspired than the previous ones but still original and spontaneous. However, it’s better to steer clear of the 90s; the albums are on the verge of terrible. The worst downward spiral of Italian singer-songwriter music (competing with Bennato). What a pity. more
One of the very few who has remained true to himself, never even a dip in quality... simply a great. more

Why is this instrumental better than the other songs on the album? Why? more
The music and lyrics are beautiful, yet as soon as I heard them together they made no damn sense. more

SOUTH PARK is by far the best cartoon of irreverent satire. The Simpsons & co are much lower on the list. more
If nowadays we have to define an artist as this tone-deaf little singer with utterly terrible songs, just think about how we're doing in Italy… more
