First and foremost, she is a journalist and writer who is FREE and not subservient like too many of her peers. Never aligned, certainly subject to criticism but intellectually honest and fair, which is what should matter most today. Unjustly manipulated by both sides. Indeed, in recent years, however, (perhaps it was the illness) she got a bit too caught up in it all.
