from Venditti and secrets onwards, it's better to avoid it. perhaps our songwriter who has become more clueless more
period 72-83 one of the greatest Italian artists of all time, with masterpieces like Alice non lo sa, Rimmel, De Gregori, Francesco De Gregori but above all that great album Bufalo Bill. Already from Scacchi e Tarocchi he starts to take hits, but he remains a great artist, at least until Amore nel pomeriggio included. from Pezzi onwards often boring and repetitive, but never unlistenable. more
In the seventies, he was probably the greatest Italian artist. Then, unfortunately, after the beautiful 1983, something broke... for example, Viaggi organizzati is still a decent album, but nothing more (I would give it a solid six), while Bugie starts to venture into the realm of the dreadful. In the nineties, Cambio and Henna still had some good moments (a total of 5-6 dignified tracks, nothing more...), but after that, it was all empty. It's a real shame. From 1996 to 2009, he released dreadful and even worse albums, but his masterpieces remain unforgettable. more
from Air to Children of the Stars. in just 5 years. well more
actually a hidden talent. but well hidden. more
A fantastic album, the pinnacle of the 77-79 trilogy and the best of his entire discography. Title track, "Taglia la testa al gallo," and "Fuoco sulla collina" are the best. more
As far as I'm concerned, the best Battisti was yet to come... but this is still a great album. The lyrics of the title track may be the best thing produced by Mogol. 4.5 more
Shitty joke incoming more
Who doesn't have an Inti Illimani album?!? more
It's tougher than your husband. more
The best Battiato from the experimental trilogy '72-'73. The standout tracks are the title track, "Plancton," and "Areknames." more
Clearly, my vote goes to Rome city (also because, honestly, I care less than zero about football). more
Smoky junk, but still less worse than Amici (even if you think about it, anything is less worse than Amici) more
Terrifying arrangement like everything else practically, I really like the lyrics a lot. more
Heard little, yet it stayed impressed in me. more
A little too bland compared to other tracks on the album, but I wouldn't throw it away. more
Some things in the arrangement are nice, but it doesn't have anything special. more
Hallucinated. With a different arrangement, it could have been a masterpiece. more
Attention, Bugo means business. An ultra badass track, a fucking masterpiece. more
Interesting the change of tempo and vocality between verse and chorus. more
