"Master of life," this small-town bourgeois? It's undeniable that he has written some of the most beautiful songs of all time, but let's not say that "under him, all others." There was an abyss between his libertarian words and the fact that he never actually got his hands dirty. Much better a Piero Ciampi as a singer-songwriter, less publicized, never sanctified by Fazio, but certainly much more genuine. And as a poet, others have already expressed valid opinions.
