One of the albums that convinces me the least by Fossati, still unripe and too "American," so to speak (starting with the horrible cover). However... here we also find spine-chilling tracks like "Il grano e la luna," "Where is paradise," and especially "Storie per farmi amare," so I can't give it less than 3.5. Then, with the next album "La casa del serpente," Ivano will start to show what he's made of. more

Impressions

Of course, between Comacchio and Petrucciani etc., all people who have made history, it would drive anyone crazy. Comacchio is surrounded by what I call our Everglades. Immense marshes, birds flying happily because they can't be hunted, eels resting after their journey from the Sargasso Sea and reproducing; they chose this place millions of years ago and have never left it. When we talk about loyalty. Comacchio was a bit like the Venice of the proletariat; here, until a few decades ago, there was blue misery. The people of Comacchio were known for the beauty of their women and for the vice... of stealing – I wouldn't want some comacchiese to get angry. Today I had coffee at Anita's, a small outpost of about 100 houses before the valley. I recommend you go there and maybe catch an evening like that of '84; in August they always organize high-level events at the 3 bridges and even outside. Bring Autan or some kalashnikov for the mosquitoes. It must have been a beautiful evening that July 8th, '84. I wish I could have been there. more

beautiful music, beautiful voice and lyrics even if "Saigon" has little to do with it. It could have mentioned, with the same sense of distance, Moscow, New York, or Beijing, but that's not the point. I really like the song, it has that feeling of disappointment, that idea of things dreamed of and never realized that gets inside you and makes you feel sad. At least that’s how it is for me. Better, much better than FDA. more
