..mmh...a bit of a disappointment, Mark is no longer the crazy guitarist he used to be, but in the end it's fair this way, it leaves a bit of a bitter aftertaste. He deserves "Postcards from Paraguay". rating: 6 - more
perfect album from every point of view... only tracks 6 and 9 leave you a bit bewildered, but the rest is excellent. rating: 9 and a half out of 10. also great is the structure and arrangement of the songs, in perfect P.T. style. more
good record, mature and not overly refined. interesting developments, especially on "sacrified sons" and "panic attack." Dream Theater style with some melodic twists. rating: 8.5 out of 10 more
classic, to buy if interested. rating: 8 and a half out of 10 more
excellent work by Portnoy's band and company, very well-crafted concept and perfect from every point of view. 9 out of 10, it's a masterpiece but not close to my sensibility (subjective judgment) more
rating: 7 out of 10, an album you can listen to in the shower, while studying... great philosophical insights, not a perfect album nor a masterpiece, it's enjoyable to listen to. more
Great live performance, you can see all the Dream Theater technique, flawless soundcheck... too bad about Portnoy's timing issues in "Home," where he's always singing at least half a second after LaBrie... moving "Spirit Carries On." Rating: 9 out of 10. more
