Every section of the work, every note of the cello makes you quiver. The harmonic variety, the richness of the phrasing are astonishing. One of the many indispensable masterpieces of Bach's rich oeuvre. 10 more

She who stabbed Nick Cave; she who is mentioned in the delirious masterpiece "Cabin Fever," she who is credited as one of the founding members of the Bad Seeds, she who contributed to the writing of "From Her to Eternity," she who was the muse of the best Cave, she who released a solo album like "Dirty Pearl," she who collaborated with the Bad Seeds and Mick Harvey for years. In short... a badass. more

He plays drums, guitar, piano, keyboards, and more; he is an excellent composer, also great as a solo artist. Oh, immense Cave, mythical Bargeld, but for me, the heart of the Bad Seeds has always been him. Essential. more

After Juju and Speak no Evil, another masterpiece by Shorter! Rating: 9 more
In the '80s, Cave always scored a 5 or, in the worst case, like in this album, a solid 4.5 rounded up. It was already known that Cave was a fantastic interpreter ("Avalanche"), but here he proves to be extraordinary. The covers are all, and I mean all, excellent (the wonderful "Hey Joe" transformed into a descent into the abyss). The Bad Seeds, need I say more, are a band with balls, the guitar madness of "All Tomorrow's Parties" is monstrous. A beautiful album. more
