Diarrhea is a disorder of defecation whose main symptoms consist of the emission of feces of liquid or semi-liquid consistency, of greater volume and with a frequency above normal (it can vary from 3 to 6 times a day). It can manifest as an isolated symptom, or accompany abdominal pain, gas, burning around the anus, fever, or vomiting.
