the most overrated singer, beautiful voice but zero music more
Electric sound, nervous, dark... a semi-unknown garage band from Turin, cult status in the world. more
The Italian Marc Bolan more
Being great artists means knowing when to stop when you’ve given everything. They understand this, and for that alone, they deserve the utmost respect. In a remarkable 31-year career, they've produced many magnificent albums and almost no missteps. For me, it's a 5 for life. more
A Russian family transplanted in Canada gifts us a singer-songwriter with the most dramatic and sensual female voice I've had the pleasure of hearing in a long time, always on the brink of a certain elegant and sophisticated boredom. more
Well, ladies and gentlemen, after 9 months from the discovery of this album, I've finally managed to reevaluate it for the masterpiece it is... how many of you fell for it? Surely everyone. Let me tell you right away, this DADMEDAS is universally a great album, but it falters in a few more forgettable tracks and some more predictable lines; still, just mentioning Quattro stracci, Vorrei, Cirano, Lettera, and Stelle makes me swoon. Alongside these 5 spectacular tracks are great yet not memorable pieces like Il caduto and Il matto, a nice diversion titled I fichi, and a forgettable Canzone della colomba e del fiore. In my opinion, all it needed was a little more effort, because the album is just a step away from the masterpiece that almost everyone talks about. (P.S. my meticulous rating remains unchanged, 8.5) more
Three times a lady more
21 years ago, guys. It might not be among the most beautiful or profound albums of recent years, but it remains a nice mix of light topics and top-quality pop rock. And then... Gomma, what a great track Gomma is! more
Regardless of the crap from the last few years (the low point being "Fuga da Reuma Park"... oh my god, what a mess), I believe they are the greatest Italian comedians. Fortunately, they bounced back with the latest film...
They are always amazing on stage. more
Always found you ridiculous, from every point of view, and also repetitive. More unbearable than the Guns, and that says a lot. I have to give you one star because zero stars are not allowed... more
Well... a nice group, for sure, but they’re not even worth a tenth of CCCP and especially CSI. The rating would be a 3 and 1/2, but I round it up to 4 out of "affection"... more
The third studio album by Faith No More more
Reevaluated. An album that you might listen to once and appreciate a lot... but after a few months of not hearing it, you struggle to remember a good part of the tracks. To give you an idea, I first listened to it in July 2020, and after almost a year of not listening to it entirely, I can only recall four songs; the rest is a blank slate. The inspiration is there, but unfortunately, it’s not as memorable as the self-titled album or Ivangarage, nor is it on the level of Ballata and Seni e coseni. It's certainly a well-crafted work, but it doesn't deserve more than 3.5 stars. more
"We need to listen to Radiohead when we feel down, when we have suffered to the limits of endurance and our entire life aches like a single burning wound, when we breathe despair and we are dead from a thousand hopeless deaths." more
who has been has been and who has been is not, who is there is there who is not there is not. more
The first four albums remain four masterpieces, still great (though slightly inferior) the next two. And Knopfler remains one of the greatest guitarists of all time. more
to be listened to in small doses more
Italian punk icons? Please... I've always found them banal and tremendously repetitive. Acido Acida remains in the top 10 of the most annoying songs in history. more
