One of the greatest singer-songwriters in the world, referred to as "a legend" even by Bob Dylan. more
The pop that influenced rock. more
Perhaps the most complete actor (voice, body, charisma, intelligence, technique) that has ever existed. I wrote perhaps because I don't know Lawrence Olivier (aside from "The Marathon Man"). more
Surely the longest-running band of all time, and for me, considering the excellent quality of their production, this is an achievement. Outstanding in the 80s, with several flashes of great class from 1991 to today. more
Mediocre albums up to "Help" not included. From "Rubber Soul" onwards, I start to like them, with a handful of great albums and a masterpiece ("Revolver"). In their albums, I always find something that doesn't sit right, but also wonderful songs. In short, I don't adore them and there was much better stuff during those years, but they remain a great band. You tell me if that doesn’t sound like a perfect definition by Racs. more
I have listened to some of his albums and I liked them: Hot Rats, Freak Out, Zoot Allures, Apostrophe, Over-Nite Sensation, Uncle Meat, Absolutely Free, We're Only in It for the Money. In my opinion, he was an excellent musician, someone who lived for music; it was his true passion, and he proved it. Whether you like it or not is clear, but for me, he was a great musician. more
Five little balls, damn. A small masterpiece of twisted and uneven noise pop. One of my all-time favorite albums. A must-check for anyone who might have missed it at the time and/or wasn't around for age-related reasons... The following album [The Magic City] is also great, where the crystalline "indie" rock vein will merge with some progressive elements. Good grief. more
Black metal disgusts me; plus, he’s a murderer… on top of that, today they locked him up because he was plotting an attack in France… more
...in Venditti's mind "Damn, I managed to plagiarize even the AC/DC who've been plagiarizing themselves for twenty years... these guys are a bit more poppy, so they could lend themselves to plagiarism more easily... in fact, you know what? I'm not even plagiarizing them, I'm taking it word for word and adding a nice catchy text for a piano bar... uhm..."Hey Now Hey Now"... "I know you know"... more
Doubt: is it pronounced SSSR? Or perhaps, as Italians, Cyrillic doesn't count? more

it just doesn’t strike me, I’ve never been interested in delving into his work. therefore, I refrain from judgment. what I really wanted to say is that his most passionate fans reach a level of childishness comparable to those of Vasco or Liga. the kind of stuff that if you misword something, if you dare to make any criticism, you get branded for life as “the one who doesn’t like De André, doesn’t understand a damn thing about music.” come on, guys, you’re really getting on my nerves. get down from that damn pedestal! more
Dirty, Ugly and Mean. Simply one of the greatest and most dangerous bands in history. Stop more
Ray Davies was a genius... in his best moments, he was unmatched. The Kinks as great as the Beatles? more
A groundbreaking entrance. On a social level, they contributed a lot with sto dark (which I've never managed to get through). more
A friend once asked me what genre Tool plays. I replied: they play Tool genre. Great. more
Sometimes I think it’s cool to talk about depressed lyrics, violence, and various ailments, etc... etc... The singer is great in my opinion. Live, they are better than in the studio. more
What a bassist though... more
