Joni Mitchell -Shadows And Light
My vote goes to both the album and the video. It’s among my three favorite live albums. The band accompanying the Divina is top-notch. The versions of 'In France They Kiss On Main Street' and, especially, 'Edith and the Kingpin' are far superior to the studio ones. more
Lycia -wake
Not bad for certain rarefied and dark atmospheres, plus a couple of pieces that are more than decent. However, I found the rest to be rather ugly, lacking truly valid ideas, quite boring, and with the aggravating factor of the horrible sound of that somewhat unbearable drum machine. A very immature and not too interesting debut from Lycia for me. more
Roof
Defining the roof? Tom Cora, the non-rock cellist, Sam Bennett who strikes the absurd, and Phil Minton who doesn't sing like someone else should sing in his place. Indefinable genre. more
Oasis -(What's the story) Morning Glory?
One of the classics from my 14 years. A decent Britpop album, nothing more or less. more
Neil Young -Harvest
The discs of a lifetime. I can't define it. more
Francesco De Gregori -Prendere e Lasciare
The best De Gregori since the 90s: a splendid album with timeless gems, as well as the pinnacle of the magnificent trilogy 92'-01'. To the notes of "Un Guanto," one can only weep. more
Bring Me the Horizon
I know semmibrudal gioè I listen to music bodende. more
Pascal Comelade
Crazy Catalan toy maker at the head of a ragtag amusement park band. more
Nine Inch Nails
"The Downward Spiral" and "The Fragile" are two masterpieces to be passed down to future generations; then row the boat and move forward with craftsmanship. more
The Rolling Stones
Overrated but still great up to "Exile"; honest craftsmen and brand exploiters afterward. more
Aerosmith
A handful of good albums, a couple of masterpieces ("Rocks", "Get a grip"), today ridiculous and unpresentable. more
Righeira
The Italian response to the Pet Shop Boys. more
Funkadelic -America Eats Its Young
A bit fragmented, and with few memorable compositions, but class is class. more
This Heat -Deceit
No, really, an absolute masterpiece. I really like the first one and their Peel Sessions too, but this is becoming more and more one of my favorite albums. more
Kim Wilde
Yes! What times! What a babe! more

Formula 3 -Dies Irae
Cicco, Radius, and Lorenzi gave Battisti (and not only him) the same treatment that Vanilla Fudge had reserved for the Beatles: twisted and stretched pieces, psychedelic excursions, plenty of Hammond and hard guitar – and some late-beat naïveté in falsetto... more
