Juicy Lucy -Lie Back and Enjoy It
Semi-forgotten English hard blues, yet you should listen to this record (I'm talking to you lovers of Cream, Taste, Rory Gallagher, Ten Years After...) - because it features the best cover of "Willie The Pimp" in history. more
Naked City
The great merit of this group was to bring the immense talent of J. Zorn to an audience far removed from his music, including in his repertoire well-known pieces that are sure to resonate, interspersed with the classic delirious jazz core sketches. Clearly, Naked City was not just J. Zorn, but after this album, he was on everyone's lips from snobby jazz enthusiasts to the most hardened rockers. JOHN ZORN - NAKED CITY - Batman

Lucio Dalla -Come è profondo il mare
The predominantly Mediterranean sound and the melancholic, decadent lyrics make this one of the absolute best albums by the Emilian artist. Personally, the tracks I love most from this record are the title track, "Il Cucciolo Alfredo," and "Disperato Erotico Stomp," but the last three ballads are also fantastic (I have a soft spot for "Barcarola"). A great album by an unforgettable musician. more
Ettore Scola
among the greatest Italian directors and beyond, in my opinion. author of an impressive series of masterpieces: "C'eravamo tanto amati" and "La terrazza" above all, iconic films depicting the decline and failure of the left and the Italian leftist man. also magnificent are "Una giornata particolare" and "Brutti, sporchi e cattivi." I can't wait for the 12th to see his film about Fellini. more
Johnny Marr
About 50% of English indie bands should pay the Lord the royalties. I'm speaking as a layman when it comes to the instrument, but his guitar, along with Tom Verlaine and Vini Reilly, is my favorite, with its recognizable touch. His "The Messengers" is a good album; clearly, he can't repeat the chords that have enchanted us forever. Johnny Marr - New Town Velocity [Official Music Video]  more
Dead Boys -Young, Loud And Snotty
Here it is, speaking of FUNDAMENTAL albums released in that fateful '77... a list far from short, make no mistake... but the work in question stands at the top of that list. I don’t know if the title of the album or the text of “I Need Lunch” is more of a Manifesto... more
