For the series: "who remembers them? (but if you forgot, it's probably for the best...)" : extremely plastic euro-dance from Sweden, they dominated the scene with a catchy hit reworked from an old track by Sheila & B. Devotion, a bit like what Madonna would do years later with ABBA... more

Patty Pravo
She was, after Mina, the most revolutionary pop singer of the '60s and '70s. From a beat doll inextricably linked to the myth of the Piper, she managed to reinvent herself countless times, spreading transgression and theatricality. First as a superb interpreter of authorial songs, then as a rock experimenter. She became an author and traveler herself, from the USA to China, experiencing remarkable successes and notable setbacks, without ever losing the charisma of the unyielding and irreplaceable diva that she is. more
Squirrel Bait -Skag Heaven
An album that radiates freshness and youth from every pore. One of the most beautiful works in that genre that would later be rebranded as post-hardcore. Ten songs, each one more beautiful than the last. A perfect record. It's a must-have, as well as the self-titled EP from 1985, which may not reach the unparalleled beauty of these songs, but is beautiful nonetheless... more

Great English band, one single excellent album from '91 "Bed", overlooked because England at the time only had ears for the indie dance of Manchester and similar sounds. It's a pity that if they had waited a couple of years, Oasis would have had serious rivals. FIVE THIRTY- ABSTAIN 2  more

Van Der Graaf Generator -The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other
Great album, listened to it for the first time today. High level from start to finish, I was particularly struck by "Refugees" (great melody, nice lyrics, reminds me a bit of the Moody Blues, even though it's better) and "After The Flood," the long track that closes the record. Excellent instrumental ideas and Hammill is an extraordinary performer and songwriter. I got to it at 30 years and 5 days, what a pity, better late than never... thanks hj for the tips. more

Yes -Tales From Topographic Oceans
The high-level ideas are there, but the problems with this album, in my opinion, are two: the presence of a weak piece (The Remembering (High the Memory)), which lasts twenty minutes and therefore weighs heavily, and the lack of a great blend of the ideas put together to construct the others. Nonetheless, The Revealing Science of God is very good. more
