Hats off to a group (or singer) that has written one of the most beautiful pop songs of the last decade. Never back down is a stunning single! more

1963. In an English school, an Arsenal fan asks a sailing enthusiast for a cigarette. He refuses. Ten years later, The Dark Side Of The Moon will project them into Olympus. Waters no longer asked Wright for cigarettes. more
Very interesting the piece Porta Vagnu. To be discovered! more
Max Pezzali is the opposite Dorian Gray of Italian pop music: he is aging more and more (he's nearing fifty now, with fewer and fewer hairs on his head), while his songs always try to maintain a youthful and adolescent flavor, almost as if he were 15 years old when he writes them. I'll give him a 3 for sentimental reasons (with the 883, he was the soundtrack of my summer camps) :) more
Excellent progressive rock band in the '70s, great pop rock group in the '80s. They were ruthlessly slaughtered by critics for trying to reinvent themselves and create a different sound throughout the '80s (with all the ups and downs that this entailed), but if they had continued making progressive music with Peter Gabriel, they would have been equally targeted for being outdated and anachronistic. The best nevertheless :-) more
One of the latest virtuoso directors who has brought the concept of "gender terrorism" into a Pop perspective. more

Maybe Camel are getting a bit too tidy, foreshadowing their upcoming stylistic shift. Anyway, a good album. more
And this, my friends, is a fantastic record. Occasionally a bit self-indulgent, but with moments of absolute value. more
Already spent too many words. more
Think Of Me With Kindness is stunning. But, upon reflection, so are the others. more
Huge record from the Italian singer-songwriter. The meeting is spine-chilling, La Locomotiva needs no description. The almost prog music of "Canzone dei dodici mesi" is excellent. more
Perhaps the best of the camel. Stunning melodic carvings. more
Technique, clarity of sound, and professionalism at the service of beautiful and catchy music that never falls into the mundane or the "been there, heard that." My absolute favorite period is from 1978 to 1982, which saw the release of gems like "Toto," "Hydra," "Turn Back," and "Toto IV" (their masterpiece). Wonderful! more
exceptional until their first Sanremo, very modest afterwards. Still quite enjoyable live. more
It's probably the secret reincarnation of AnielloAmitrano... more

Another rock delight from The Who. You can somewhat overlook the silly lyrics of My Wife, but the rest is sublime stuff. For me, Pete Townshend is one of the greatest composers of the last century. more
