Jefferson Airplane
Among the best groups in Psychedelic Rock. Every time I listen to "Comin' Back To Me," I can't hold back a tear. more
Premiata Forneria Marconi -Storia Di Un Minuto
"September impressions," "Hans's carriage," and the two parts of "Where... When" are among the best of Italian progressive music. The rest is still at a very high level. Great album: the lesson from KC has been wonderfully absorbed. more
Jefferson Starship -Dragon Fly
Cute and dignified little disc, this debut from the new Jeffersons of Kantner and Grace Slick (actually they were "Starship" already since the masterpiece of 1970). The best things, to be fair, come from the three tracks sung solo by Slick (even though "Hyperdrive" has that awful instrumental part...). I also save "cavalca il tigrotto" and Balin's guest appearance ("Caroline" which could have been shorter). The rest is completely insubstantial. more
Piero Scaruffi
It has become common among many to think that the best artists/groups of all time are only those to whom Scaruffi gives at least a 7.5. How sad. more

Jefferson Starship -Red Octopus
Another piece from the endless "family" collection that I hardly remembered having. Beautiful vinyl, nice picture on the back. We're not that far from the last works of the Airplane, here the Starship were still very much alive. "Miracles" is the masterpiece of Marty Balin, the most "Pop" soul of the old band. Grace does not disappoint. more
Piero Scaruffi
After understanding what kind of person he was, I said to myself: now I'm going to read his definition of DEEP PURPLE (more or less my favorite rock band, what do you expect?). I bet he’ll drag in LED ZEPPELIN, saying that the LED were innovative while the DEEP… well, with that he’s really opened the floodgates! Then, continuing on, at a certain point he wrote about the hysterical voice of Ian Gillan, and I stopped reading to avoid a fit of rage. more
Piero Scaruffi
I believe it has had a fundamental importance and role in the context of Italian music criticism. Not everyone can like everything he writes or thinks, but I repeat, I believe that his work is, in some ways, monumental. more
The Rolling Stones
Time waits for no one. Well, they are still waiting for them. Diabolical! more

It may be, but it has always bored me artistically speaking. Let's not even get started on its recent political statements... more
