Except for the wonderful triptych "Yes Album," "Fragile," and "Close to the Edge" (which would have guaranteed them a lifetime score of 5), they never fully captivated me. Still a great band, though; even "Relayer," "Drama," and "Going for the One" are good works, but they can become a bit tiring in the long run. more
A streak of 5 albums (from "This Was" to "Thick as a Brick," one better than the other for me) in a row isn’t something just anyone can pull off. After a few ups and downs, at least in the second half of the '70s, they still managed to release some valid records. more
