Lucio Battisti
Maybe we won't continue, but with Mogol a handful of songs that are worth all the greatest artists around the world (Emozioni, I Giardini di Marzo, Il Mio Canto Libero, La Luce dell'Est, La Collina Dei Ciliegi) A masterpiece album like Anima Latina and then the white period with Panella, sublimated in the masterpiece of "Don Giovanni." more
Nick Cave
Upon listening to "The Good Son," I declare it a near-masterpiece "Your Funeral... My Trial," two masterpieces "From Her To Eternity" and "Tender Pray," and two that transcend the concept of masterpiece "Good Son," "The Firstborn Is Dead." more
Slayer
The University of Pogo: you can't consider yourself a "Pogatore" if you haven't survived one of their concerts first. Try it to believe it... The sequence "Raining Blood - Angel of Death" from a few years ago earned me such an important certification on the field. more
Camel
Very big until 1979. more
The Housemartins -Now That's What I Call Quite Good
The musical journey of the Housemartins comes to an end after just two albums and this double anthology collection, in my vinyl version, with 24 tracks of pure fun, featuring their songs so rich in sixties guitars, blended with melodic pop and clean vocals. The a cappella version of "Caravan of Love," which carries a scent of gospel and soul, is their fitting farewell to the music world: with their gaze ever turned to the past, as is their habit. more
Depeche Mode
Masters like few in combining words and images, some of the most beautiful videos of the '80s are their work. Innovators like almost no one in the synth field, above-average pop lyrics. more
Morphine -Good
Simply the best of the best! Any adjective wouldn't do justice to this extraordinary-mega-super-masterpiec e! more
Faith No More
The quirky side of the 80s-90s crossover, between the ridiculousness of the RHCP that were and the epicness of the junkies Jane's Addiction. more
Camel
In the '80s they were still doing Progressive. That should be enough. more
Primus
Detonants.
I would even settle for changing the strings for Les :-D more
Depeche Mode
I believe that the section "DeFinizioni" should be removed from this site. There are people who DeFine artists that they either hate or have barely listened to; at least to review an album, an active listening is necessary, not just a passive one. This group is an example of "justice not done." more
Primus
For me, the NUMBER ONE in Music....and it couldn't be otherwise given the name that accompanies them....I almost forgot: Les is my cousin!!!! more
Gojira
Bum Bum Bum Bum Bum Bum AAAAAAAAHHHHHH !!!! more
The Hellacopters -Payin' the Dues
With their second album, the Swedish Helicopters boldly declare, with healthy anger, that they are the leaders of that scene that emerged in the Scandinavian country in the mid-nineties. Hard rock that serves as a generational tribute to genre masters like MC5 and the Stooges, with a "crazy" speed worthy of the angriest Motörhead. For me, it's their unsurpassed masterpiece of energy cubed. more
Bohren & der Club of Gore
A long and exhausting listen, but in the end, it's worth it. Emotions and sounds that imprint themselves in your mind until they completely possess you. more
Paul McCartney
The greatest songwriter to ever exist in pop/rock music. Absolute genius, even more than Lennon. more
Patti Smith Group -Radio Ethiopia
I know that for most critics and others, the pinnacle of Patti Smith's career is considered to be Horses. However, I find Radio Ethiopia to be more focused and complete, a true delight from start to finish. I don't feel like giving it the highest score, but these stars, four, are full and definitely hefty. They fit snugly, quite uncomfortably, as if it were a Ryan Air seat for an adult of robust dimensions. more
Tim Buckley -Starsailor
This album is the work of the Devil. No doubt about it. Terrifying and hallucinatory. more
