Their early albums are beautiful, especially Origin of Symmetry; The 2nd Law is a bit disappointing, but they are definitely the leading representatives of Alternative Rock and also show great brilliance from a Neo-Progressive perspective (before criticizing, listen to "Exogenesis Symphony"). Finally, I believe there are few bands like them in live performances.
