THE REVIEW

This young band from Brighton, England follows the style of groups such as Audioslave, Rage Against The Machine, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam, adding to the mix a pinch of metal and southern rock.

The choice to record almost entirely live is notable, which, although at times it might make the album sound distant from the hyper-productions of the artists these guys are inspired by, is a real punch to the face of super inflated digital editing and is a good snapshot of the energy this band unleashes on stage.

Like many independent artists, this band has also chosen to make the album available via free download or donation!

Summary by Bot

Dead Empire’s debut album Rust showcases a strong blend of classic 90s rock influences with metal and southern rock. Recorded almost entirely live, it captures the band's authentic energetic performance. Although it lacks the polish of big productions, this raw approach offers a refreshing punch. The band’s DIY spirit is evident as they offer the album for free download or donation.
