This "review" is more of a request for information. I'd like to know what you think of WELL SHALL GO TO TOWN by the great David Bowie and why it was only included in the 2004 reissue of Hours. I find this song to be a wonderful mix of melody, vocals, guitars, and darkness. The record industry often—and admittedly, for filthy lucre—perpetrates unspeakable blunders, and this time even the Thin White Duke contributed by not giving Well Shall Go To Town the attention it deserved. For fans of the genre, it's worth knowing that this song was the reason for the split between Bowie and guitarist Reeves Gabrels; the latter, when he saw it wasn't included in Hours in 1999, turned his back on Bowie and their careers parted ways. Rolling Stones Italia included it among Bowie's 10 hidden treasures. If you've never heard it, I recommend you do.
